THE BYES PARK – GILCHRIST FIELD AND MARGARET’S MEADOW

Whilst these two fields are part of the Byes park, they are separated by a path from the main, southern part – and are managed separately by the Sid Vale Association:

Map of SVA Land and Margaret’s Meadow

There is Margaret’s Meadow, a rough meadow area of more than 8 acres and borders the river Sid. There is an area within Margaret’s Meadow called Golden Copse, it is a fenced off area with selected trees and benches designated dog free… Further on from Margaret’s Meadow is Gilchrist Field, owned and managed by the Sid Vale Association. At a little over 7.5 acres it is maintained to encourage wildlife.
