People posting about the Sid on social media

A great place to go to see what’s happening down on the Sid are the local social media pages.

Looking at some of the postings for August:

Any ideas why the river Sid has been brown with silt since Thursday? Fortescue Bridge contractor not doing things properly, thanks to volunteer river monitors and local councillors they have been shut down by the Environment Agency until they have the right kit.

A very unclear photo of a large otter, clearly enjoying him/herself, swimming in the river off the bridge by The Salty Monk in Sidford around midday today. So lovely to see these creatures out and about….keep your eyes peeled folks!!

We went for a stroll down the byes yesterday, picking blackberry’s and throwing the ball around for the pooch. Think my little one had a run in with some hogweed when getting the ball out of the bushes near the river area of Margarets meadow as they have come up in blisters today.
