Great news with the setting up of the River Sid Catchment Group!
Its steering group is made up of the former SVA River Warden and members of the Sid River Water Monitoring Group and of the SVBG – meaning the new project is taking forward the work done over the last years by these and other groups to enhance the River Sid catchment area.
This is from the latest Sid Valley Biodiversity Group newsletter:
“The River Sid Catchment Group has launched a Facebook page where they will be sharing river Sid related updates and encouraging community members to get involved. They are pleased to join with existing groups and build on the great work that has already been done to look after our precious local river and its surrounding landscapes. Check out the Facebook page.”
They’ve just set up a Facebook page too – with informed, interesting and charming posts going up regularly – together with their new logo:

Do join the group, do get in touch and do get involved!
