The onward march of invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed and Himalayan Balsam continues along the River Sid:

This is something the town council’s environment committee intends to address at its next meeting at the end of the month:

And this is something the Sid Valley Biodiversity Group has also been concerned with – and for some time.
Stefan Drew of the SVBG reported back in late August:
“Following on from the recent discussion on the above here are a few images taken an hour ago along the Sid. What shocks me most is how it has spread in the last few years.”
